Unmasked Classroom Instruction an Emotional Hellscape?

Continuing its daily blitzkrieg of mind-numbing fake news on all things flu/covid, the NYT revisited the topic of face masks, saying:

"At universities, some instructors are finding the return to the classroom a nerve-racking experience (sic)." 

"A few have quit — one in the middle of class."

Rhetoric and composition Professor Matthew Boedy was quoted calling his mostly unmasked class "an emotional hellscape (sic)."

Boedy may know and be able to competently teach what students need to learn about rhetoric and composition.

On all things flu/covid — at least about jabs and masks — he's an ignoramus like most others, including other educators, medical professionals, and countless others in all walks of life.
