Iraqi Forces Arrest Anti-US Occupation Popular Mobilization Unit Fighters

On June 24, over a dozen Kataib Hezbollah Popular Mobilization Unit fighters were arrested by Iraqi Counter-Terrorism forces in southern Baghdad. Some reports said two dozen or more.

According to Reuters, at least three of the group's commanders and one Iranian were arrested, then handed over to the Pentagon, the report denied by a US military spokesman, wanting the Trump regime distanced from what happened.

Al Jazeera cited an unnamed PMU official who said no Kataib Hezbollah commanders were arrested.

Led by PMU commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis until assassinated by the Trump regime, along Iranian IRGC Quds Force commander General Qassem Soleimani, last January, they're part of Iraq's military.
