The NYT Obsesses Over Nonexistent Russian US Election Hacking

No evidence suggests last year's US presidential election or any others were hacked, by Russia or anyone else – at the federal, state or local levels.

Plenty of evidence shows election-rigging in America is longstanding, foreign powers uninvolved.

The most notorious example was in 2000 – five right-wing Supreme Court justices annulling the electoral college and popular vote, anointing GW Bush president, depriving Al Gore of the office he won.

In 2004, John Kerry defeated Bush. Election rigging gave the illegitimate incumbent a second term.

Historian Robert Caro called Lyndon Johnson's 1948 senatorial primary win "brazen thievery." Without it, he'd have lost and likely never become president.
