Russian Draft Security Council Resolution on De-Escalation Zones in Syria

Russia's draft resolution seeks to codify its de-escalation zone plan into binding international law if adopted by SC members.

The document calls on all parties, nations and opposition groups, to refrain from hostilities in areas agreed on by Russia, Iran and Turkey. America isn't part of the agreement.

The Pentagon supports halting aerial operations in these zones, except its own – on the phony pretext of combating ISIS America created and supports, making the likelihood of Russia's plan succeeding in advancing things closer to overall conflict resolution virtually nil.

Moscow supports peace, stability, respect for Syrian sovereignty, its territorial integrity, and right of its people alone to decide who'll govern them, free from foreign interference.
