After meeting with Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in Cairo, Egypt's strongman illegitimate president, a despot ruling by iron-fisted brute force, tolerating no criticism or opposition, Pompeo gave an Orwellian address, titled "A Force for Good: America's Reinvigorated Role in the Middle East" – a shameless perversion of regional reality.

His remarks were reminiscent of Obama's hollow June 2009 rhetoric in the city – phony outreach to Muslims ahead of his regime's naked aggression in Libya and Syria, along with drone war on Yemen, endless Afpak war, and US belligerence elsewhere on his watch.

Decrying the "killing of innocent (Muslim) men, women, and children," he later boasted about terror-bombing seven predominantly Muslim countries in eight years – Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, and Somalia.
