A same day article quoted Russia's Foreign Ministry calling the allegation "fake news."

Syrian Arab Red Crescent doctors and other medical staff found no evidence of CW use in Douma.

Claims were fabricated, a likely US-orchestrated scheme to escalate conflict. Washington opposes conflict resolution – remaining hellbent on regime change, aiming for Syria to become another imperial trophy.
