Illuminati symbolism in Jason Derulo’s ‘Talk Dirty to Me’ music video

Jason Derulo is one of the new artists being promoted through the same lines of Illuminati control in the entertainment industry. Here are a few shots of symbolism you can find in his breakout video for Talk Dirty.

Take a look at the checkered floor, this is a Freemasonry symbol called the ‘Mosaic Pavement’:

IlluminatiWatcherDotCom Jason Derulo Illuminati Talk Dirty Mason floor

This checkered floor is typically black and white and can be found on the floors of Freemasonry lodges. The official purpose for this symbol is to make initiates reflect on the concept of opposites and how they can contradict, while also complement one another. Some Masonic texts claim that high priests walked on this floor in Solomon’s temple, while also calling it ‘Moses’ pavement.’

You can see it in several music videos including 2 Chainz’ video for Murder and the film analysis for Eyes Wide Shut:

Next we can see the floating staircase; another symbol of Freemasonry that represents the ascension of man into god. Each step corresponds to another level of initiation further into the top degrees of Freemasonry:

We’ve seen these in videos like Nelly x Nicki Minaj x Pharrell’ Get Like Me:

Here’s Derulo giving the ’666′ hand gesture that I cover in Decoding Illuminati Symbolism: The All Seeing Eye and 666 Hand Gesture:

IlluminatiWatcherDotCom Jason Derulo Illuminati 666 hand

Granted, this ’666′ hand might only be because of the lyrics that make reference to the number three:

Uno, met your friend in Rio
Dos, she was all on me-o
Tres, we can ménage à three though

But we also see it in the commercial for the show Devious Maids (that’s how I know this guy is Illuminati; he’s got corporate sponsorship in the music video for Neuro drinks, and now he’s on the commercial for this TV show):

IlluminatiWatcherDotCom Jason Derulo Illuminati 666 Devious Maids

He’s played off the Illuminati rumors previously in an interview, which seemed more like a setup to get out in front of these rumors, but to me it seems like a ruse.

Here’s the Talk Dirty to Me music video:

Suge Knight alludes that 2Pac is still alive in new video

The title of the post describes it; this is a TMZ video with Suge where he makes the allegation. I’m not sure why the discussion ends abruptly, I’m hoping they’re not taking it out of context, but it seems that Suge is definitely saying Pac might be alive:

If you want more on 2Pac, I’ve got a post about a documentary called 7Dayz and also another post about Suge talking about how nobody really saw 2Pac dead:

Suge said, “Maybe the question is … Pac’s not really dead … pac’s somewhere else.”

“Nobody seen Tupac dead,” the former record executive went on to say.

Suge thinks Pac is still breathing because of the strange occurrences surrounding his death. “The person who supposedly cremated Tupac … this guy got about 3 million dollars .. personally from me … cash … and next thing I know I never heard from the guy or seen him again … he retired and left,” he concluded.

So what’s the real story? Is 2Pac dead or alive?…

PEACHES GELDOF: MIND CONTROL: SATANISM: MYSTERIOUS DEATHS

Peaches urged her social media followers to learn about the O.T.O, which caused a surge of interest for the secret society in mass media. This “bright happy” young mother dabbled in “magical acts” using dark energies to achieve success. Or so she thought.
ED Noor: The sex rites of the OTO are not to be dismissed lightly. Nor are they all “just” blood; the sex ritual aspect is very real; the physical stamina of the participants is pushed to the utmost, often to the point of unconsciousness in their efforts to attract various demons.
Crowley battled Christianity with black magick, and spent his life detailing how to perform black masses which include sacrificing animals and children. He wrote “A male child of perfect innocence and high intelligence is the most satisfactory and suitable victim for use in the Mass” (which corresponds back to the sacrifice of children to Ba’al in much earlier times).

In Crowley’s day restless wantons from all level of society partook in these rites, in private, the elite flocked to participate in his doings. Things have not changed. Peaches may not have been a sacrifice; she could have simply overdone things. We may never know the truth. It would not be the first time; stimulants are part of these things, whatever can help maintain endurance.

Call me shallow but, the fact that her husband is a Cohen who pushes the Hasidic fashion look to complement his dark Sephardic looks, also strikes a chord. This girl got in over her head. Even their young sons are given the names of ancient Hebrew female goddesses.

In truth, looking at this young woman over the years, she shows all the usual signs of having been tampered with ~ the usual conditioning given these very normal people who happen to be born of rock royalty. (Any rocker with the title “sir” has to be a corrupt person to have earned the dubious honour and Bob is a rather slithery individual. Rumour was his dirty looks were not a mere affectation but his true state of cleanliness.)

In looking for images of Peaches I also discovered that for some time she was heavily involved with the twisted pornographer Eli Roth, creator of torture porn. Poor girl was 17 years younger than he. She has messed with some pretty evil people in her past.

Peaches urged her social media followers to learn about the O.T.O, which caused a surge of interest for the secret society in mass media (well, tabloid news).

While information concerning her death is still scarce, Peaches life had all of the bearings of an industry victim:

She was born into an unstable, show-business family;
She got involved in the entertainment industry early in her life;
She developed relations with industry insiders;
She dabbled with the most powerful spiritual currents of the occult elite;
Finally, she unfortunately lost her life in “mysterious” circumstances, under the spell of an elite secret society.

Notice that her husband and father say she was ‘bonkers’ in their supposed eulogies.  That’s not normally the kind of thing people say of their loved ones when they’ve just died.  They wanted her to keep quiet presumably.  It seems Peaches had come to the realisation that the Satanic cults and networks they all belong to are evil and wrong.  Far from being bonkers, she was the only sane one in the family.  Like Diana, and the Royals, they had to get rid of the one that was starting to spill the beans as to what is really going on.

Satanic sex cult makes its mark on Geldof

Then there is this event which, when I first read of it thought perhaps there might be hope for Peaches after all. The pedophile received a hefty prison term and the mothers have also faced prosecution.

We might be seeing, once again, the dark side of the entertainment world working its “magick” in plain sight. Meanwhile, from Aangirfan:

Illuminati symbolism in ‘Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier’

The film Captain America: The Winter Soldier just released an already the pop culture and conspiracy realms are colliding with theories of symbolism and hidden subliminal plots and political agendas. Let see what’s up with it…

I’ve already covered a decent amount of the symbolism confronted in the first film’s post; Illuminati symbolism in Captain America: First Avenger

This includes the pentagram shield:

The upright five pointed star is for white magic and spells, while the inverted is for dark magic or Satan worship. The inversion shows us two points going up; taking us to the horns of Moloch or Satan. The Illuminati implant this image as a talisman to devote energy and attention towards Satan. Albert Pike once said that the Kabalistic pentagram carries the power of commanding spirits used for invoking demons.

Captain America Shield Pentagram

Pentagram Inverted

The HYDRA reptilian-Illuminati shape shifters:

This theme of evil reptilians is nothing new; David Icke has been warning us of the reptilian shape shifters that are believed to be the ‘true’ Illuminati; the top of the elite. These reptilians are able to shape shift and control our society in such as way that we focus on material goods, destruction of empathy, and various other themes that invoke negative feelings in order for them to consume them as a form of energy.

HYDRA Logo

Nick Fury and his All Seeing Eye:

The idea of an omnipresent being watching over us is referenced the Bible several times (1 Peter 3:12 and Proverbs 22:12) and this also includes the Biblical reference to The Watchers, aka the Nephilim. These were the hybrid offspring of extraterrestrials who were called the ‘sons of God’ in Genesis and the daughters of men at the time on Earth (Ancient Aliens had an episode in season 6 called Alien Breeders that covers some of this).

Samuel Jackson Nick Fury All Seeing Eye Illuminati

And we also saw a movie poster that show the upright pyramid, just like what we see for Winter Soldier:

The upright triangle represents solar power, or in the Hellenic tradition, the element of fire. The ancient deities that were affiliated with the sun were done so in order to convey the symbolism of strength and power (e.g. the Egyptian gods Horus and Ra, or the goddess Isis). The association of power and the sun eventually finds its way into a symbol for male power. This is appropriate since patriarchal-dominated societies are known for wars, primal urges, aggression and instantaneous flare ups. The lunar association with the goddess is tied into the inverted triangle; but we’ll get into that later.

First Avenger triangle:

IlluminatiWatcherDotCom Captain America First Avenger Pyramid Triangle

*SPOILERS from here on out*

Winter Soldier triangle (also notice he is standing on the double-V; or the ’66′ Fallen Angels I discuss in Kabbalah conspiracy theories & Illuminati symbolism in pop culture):

The concept of the Kabbalah and the demons within the Qliphoth are further explained by theorist Freeman Fly in his book Weird Stuff: Operation Culture Creation. He goes into detail on how the entertainment industry and even politicians are take part of this ritual of invoking the fallen angels through the extensive use of the number 66. Freeman asserts that there are 66 fallen angels in the Qliphoth, and we see the Hebrew numerology play that out as the English combinations of ‘F’s, ‘O’s, and ‘X’s:

‘F’= ‘6’

‘O’ = ‘15’ = ‘1+5’ = ‘6’.

‘X’ = ‘24’ = ‘2+4’ = ‘6’.

The sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is ‘vav’, so if we see any two or three letter combinations of ‘V’ we can also conclude this as the mark of the beast as well (along with the three 6’s we are all familiar with).

Staying on that topic, here’s an in-depth article on various numerology on GematriaCodes:

During Pierce’s “New World Order” speech to Captain America, a so-called ‘Ordo ad Chao’ ideology is revealed – Order Out Of Chaos. The symbolism of the destruction of the old world making way for a new one is also represented in the Phoenix rising from the ashes – as shown via the bird on the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo. According to archetypal occultism, the Roman numeral V (number five, also shown as the Peace Hand Sign) represents the agenda of building society into a so-called ‘Fifth Age’, commonly called the New World Order. According to this concept a final age of mankind may be reached by tearing apart the kingdoms of old and building up a new kingdom known as the “Kingdom of Stone”, an age of strict totalitarianism and false sense of world peace.

“Out of these troubled times our fifth objective… a New World Order.” – George H.W Bush

The HYDRA-reptilian shape shifters appear in Winter Soldier and now have become an internet meme, based on a part of the film where we see Senator Stern whisper to Agent Sitwell “Hail HYDRA”. Could this be a ploy to make it a light hearted joke to talk about the reptilian overlords? Perhaps even an endearing one?

Is it a coincidence that I’ve got most all of those subjects covered on this website for having some form of Illuminati symbolism?…

Ok, one last one cuz this one is kind of funny:

Hail Hydra GoT Illuminati

WashingtonPost published an interview with the directors Anthony and Joe Russo where they revealed that they used parts of the current drone ‘kill list’ in the plot of the film. From WashingtonPost:

Did you know the themes of the movie (how much power and access the government should have) would be so timely when it was released?

Anthony: The Edward Snowden thing did happen while we were shooting, but that was sort of the tip of the iceberg. All the stuff was in the ether before that. I remember right before we started our first pass on the script with the writers that’s when the New York Times article broke about the “kill list.” And it was just, wow, a Democratic president of the United States sits down with his advisers on a Tuesday morning and goes through a”kill list” and decides who they’re going to kill; then they strike that person with drones, and sometimes they kill their family, too. It’s just like, “Whoa, that’s the good guy in this world.” That was very much a very jumping off point for the moral complexity about where we are, with what the relationship between security and freedom is, where the line is drawn.

Joe: And, can we protect ourselves humanely? You have an interesting character because Cap is a representative of the Greatest Generation. The war, the conflict they were involved in, was very black and white. Now he’s in a very subversive, cynical world, and he’s a great mirror for us. So we felt we could use him to highlight the complexity of our political landscape.

And here’s from another WP post:

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” has won accolades for its exploration of those themes. “Winter Soldier” basically says that the NSA was invented by Nazis…and that we let it happen, insisted even, giving up our freedom because we were too afraid to do anything else,” wrote Darren Franich in Entertainment Weekly. But you can only be so subversive when you run a multi-billion franchise and have your stars signed to long-running contracts. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” may be inspired by President Obama’s kill list. But it reaches the same conclusions the administration uses to justify the targeted killing program.

Fury has been overseeing a new weapons program called Project Insight that syncs up satellites that can “read a terrorist’s DNA” and helicarriers with precision weapons, so S.H.I.E.L.D. can take out potential threats, rather than responding after a hijacking or an attack. Rogers objects immediately on principle, and Fury joins in when he discovers that he has been locked out of Project Insight. Ultimately, we learn that Hydra, the nasty totalitarian agency from the previous “Captain America” movie, has infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D., and lead by Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford), intends to use Project Insight to kill a great number of people

And “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” returns time and time again to the idea that the biggest issue in national security is who controls the apparatus, rather than whether we should use certain technologies or techniques at all. ”What if Pakistan marched into Mumbai, and you knew they were going to drag your daughters into a soccer stadium and shoot them, and you could just stop it. With the flip of a switch. Wouldn’t you?” Pierce asks a member of the World Security Council who is horrified at the uses to which Pierce intends to put Project Insight. “Not if it was your switch,” the man tells him.

We are supposed to be fine with Fury’s choice to shoot Pierce because we trust him. And when Steve, Romanoff, and Fury send the Project Insight helicarriers into deadly crashes, we are not supposed to be bothered by the massive, indiscriminate loss of life they just caused both because they are our heroes, and because the movie tells us that everyone on board is a bad guy. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” at least avoids the destruction so many blockbusters visit on major cities with surprisingly little mention or consequence by sending the helicarriers into the Potomac, and the Triskelion, the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, which is full of Hydra agents. But even if they avoid civilian casualties, the movie shows the same lack of interest in criminal proceedings that characterizes the targeted killing program. In comparison to all this carnage, Rogers’ decision not to kill the Winter Soldier, a Hydra agent who turns out to be his old friend Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), is not exactly a reassuring sign of restraint.

And take a look at what is said about that HYDRA organization of shape shifters in a scene with A.I./Transhumanism aspects:

“Hydra was founded on the idea that humanity could not be trusted with its own freedom,” Dr. Arnim Zola, the Hydra agent who lives on as an artificial intelligence, tells Rogers and Romanoff when they uncover him. But Rogers, Fury, and Romanoff essentially tell us the same thing.

Infowars seems to think this film is purposefully showing us the Illuminati agenda in their Captain America review:

So naturally this puts the Captain in conflict against the film’s antagonists, neoconservatives who believe in creating “order” out of artificial chaos through fear and control. They want Americans to willingly trade in their liberties for “security.”

Gee, sounds a lot like real life, doesn’t it? Looks the screenwriters studied white papers from the Project for the New American Century when writing this film. There’s also a great reference in the movie to Total Information Awareness, the ambitious surveillance program that sought to analyze every American’s personal records in order to develop a “risk profile” on each person.

Hollywood’s honesty here is refreshing.

The movie also tackles other key aspects, such as information control, centralized planning, trans-humanism, compartmentalization and even brainwashing. Captain America: Winter Soldier points out the fallacies in all of these, making the film seem very anti-propaganda compared to other recent Hollywood productions.

The movie is great for showing your friends and family a frame of reference to what’s going on both domestically and geopolitically in the world today.

I think that WP article sums up the agenda fairly well:

The issue in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is less that we outsource our freedom, and more who we hand it over to. Ultimately, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is a movie about the targeted killing program that reaches essentially the same answer as the Obama administration: As long as Barack Obama, or Steve Rogers, or Nick Fury is deciding who should be killed, things are essentially all right.

Here’s a ‘no-spoiler’ review on the film from Alex Jones. You’ve got to love that he rates it on a scale of 1776-1984 lol. They make claims that SHIELD is a form of Department of Homeland Security, DARPA has super soldiers, and other ‘fill in the blank fears’, etc.:

David Knight is joined in studio by infowars reporter Jakari Jackson, LeeAnn McAdoo and writer Kit Daniels join David for a NO SPOILER review of the new Captain America: Winter Soldier, the truths the movie tells about removal of individuals rights and frightening possibilities of a dystopian future.

The Deeper Meaning of “True Detective” – Season One

“True Detective” is a TV series about the investigation of satanic ritual murders carried out by mysterious men. While the season ended in a rather straight-forward matter, the plethora of symbols and references peppered throughout the episodes send out profound messages about forces subtly influencing society. We’ll look at the deeper meaning of the first season of “True Detective”.

leadtrued

Warning: Gigantic spoilers ahead!

Taking place in the swampy backwoods of Louisiana, True Detective captured audiences’ attention with its interesting characters and dark atmosphere. Through its eight episodes, the series followed two detectives as they uncovered a series of ritualistic murders that were rumored to be carried out by rich and powerful men. While, week after week, fans of the show obsessed over small details in order to “crack the case”, the series ended in a rather plain matter: The murderer was a dirty, crazy, stereotypical redneck who was identified by the detectives a few episodes beforehand. There was therefore no mind-blowing plot twist (i.e. one of the detectives was behind it all) or shocking high-level conspiracy. And that left many fans somewhat disappointed.

However, looking back at the references, the symbolism, and the enigmatic dialogue peppered throughout the episodes, one can indeed wonder why some aspects of the story (i.e. Marty Hart’s family life) were so extensively developed while they were of no relevance to the final outcome of the investigation. Was the series, through these alternative storylines, trying to communicate something that went beyond the actual investigation? Something that encompasses us all?

Despite the straight-forward conclusion to the story, there is a deeper message communicated throughout the series:  That the ritual murders were not simply the product of the mind of lone crazy redneck – they’re the result of a deep-seated mindset, a toxic environment that goes back several generations and affects all aspects of society. This concept can be summed up in one word: “psychosphere” – a word detective Rustin Cohle uses in the first episode. Through a variety of symbols and messages, True Detectives shows us how the sick obsessions of the elite ultimately seep through the everyday lives of the masses.

Let’s first look at the premise of the story.

The Premise

The series begin with the discovery of the corpse of a young women, set up in a ritualistic matter.

The woman was found naked, bound, with stab wounds on her stomach. She is wearing a "crown of thorns" and antlers on her head.

The woman was found naked, bound, with stab wounds on her stomach. She is wearing a “crown of thorns” and antlers on her head.

On her back is tattooed a spiral, which is the symbol of the group carrying out the murders.

On her back is tattooed a spiral, the symbol of the group carrying out the murders.

The authorities quickly conclude that it’s a satanic ritualistic murder. Rustin Cohle describes the killer as “meta-psychotic”.

“It’s fantasy enactment, ritual, fetishization, iconography. This is his vision. Her body is a paraphilic love map – an attachment of physical lust to fantasies and practices forbidden by society”.

After the autopsy, the detectives learn that the victim was drugged, bound, abused, tortured with a knife, strangled and posed outside for the world to see. In short, it bares all of the signs of mega-ritual of Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA).

Around the body are strange triangles made of sticks.

Around the body are strange triangles made of sticks.

A reverend tells the detectives that these things are “devil nets” and are used “to catch the devil before he came too close”.

The reverend adds that he thought that these devil nets were just “something for children to do, keep them busy, tell them stories why they’re tying sticks together”. While the reverend says these words, the camera zooms into another set of sticks tied together.

As the reverend talks about telling stories to children to keep them busy, the camera focuses on a cross made of two sticks tied together - implying that religion might be "stories for children". It also foretells the link between the devil nets of the killer and the Church. In short, this series is definitely not pro-Christian.

As the reverend talks about devil nets being “stories to keep children busy”, the camera focuses on a cross made of two sticks tied together – implying that religion might be “stories for children”. It also foretells the link between the devil nets and Church leaders in Louisiana.

Rustin Cohle and the Psychosphere

Played by Matthew McConaughey, Rustin Cohle qualifies himself as a realist or, in philosophical terms, a “pessimist”. The least one can say is that he has little faith in humanity and that he does not understand the constructs surrounding it – including religion.

“I think human consciousness is a tragic step in evolution. We became too self-aware. Nature created an aspect of nature separate from itself. We are creatures that should not exist by natural law”.

As a “pessimist” who hates humanity in general and a Texan working in Louisiana, Cohle is an eternal outsider. Indeed, he has a tendency of viewing the world from outside, almost as if he was an other-worldly figure. To accentuate this fact, Cohle appears to have a sixth-sense – bordering on extra-sensory perception (ESP) – that manifests itself throughout the investigation. He has visions, he “reads” people in a few seconds, and he can even “taste” colors.

In the very first episode of the series, Cohle tells his partner a sentence that sums up the main message of the entire series. While driving through Louisiana roads, Cohle refers to an obscure concept that has deep resonance in occult spheres.

“Got a bad taste out there. Aluminum, ash, like you can smell the psychosphere”.

Psychosphere

The term psychosphere is not a common term in the English language. It originates from the science fiction literature of authors such as Roland C. Wagner and  H. P. Lovecraft – the creator of  the Cthulhu Mythos.

“Psychosphere” can be defined as “sphere of human consciousness” and takes its roots in Carl Jung’s concept of “collective unconscious”. It basically states that all thoughts that go through the human brain are “converted” by the neocortex and projected outwards into ethereal dimensions. Humans therefore live in an “atmosphere of thoughts”, a concept that is also referred to as “noosphere” by Vladimir Vernadsky and Teilhard de Chardin. According to them, the existence of this psychosphere causes humans to be compelled to respond to similar ideas, myths and symbols.

Although referred to in other terms, the concept of psychosphere is important in occult circles who conduct mega-ritals to influence the “collective unconscious” – often for nefarious purposes.

In the 1940s, the French poet and theater director Antonin Artaud predicted the advent of occult mega-rituals in media. Artaud was an adept of  several forms of occultism and well-aware of the transformative powers of theatrical rituals: he created the infamous “Theater of Cruelty” that intended to profoundly change the audience. Regarding the processing of the Group Mind, Artaud wrote:

“Aside from the trifling witchcraft of country sorcerers, there are tricks of global hoodoo in which all alerted consciousnesses participate periodically … That is how strange forces are aroused and transported to the astral vault, to the dark dome which is composed above all of … the poisonous aggressiveness of the evil minds of most people … the formidable tentacular oppression of a kind of civic magic which will soon appear undisguised.”

Occult researchers have often identified ritualistic murders as mass-rituals meant to shock the masses and disturb the psychosphere.

“[Some murders] are ritual murders involving a cult protected by the U.S. government and the corporate media, with strong ties to the police.

Such killings are actually intricately choreographed ceremonies; performed first on a very intimate and secret scale, among the initiates themselves in order to program them, then on a grand scale, amplified incalculably by the electronic media.

In the end what we have is a highly symbolic, ritual working broadcast to millions of people, a Satanic inversion; a Black mass, where the “pews” are filled by the entire nation and through which humanity is brutalized and debased in this, the ‘Nigredo’ phase of the alchemical process.

– Michael A. Hoffman II, Secret Societies and Psychological Warfare

This is what True Detective is truly about.

Rustin Cohle, who has a tendency toward ESP, states that he can actually “smell the psychosphere”‘ and that it tastes “like aluminum and ash”. In other words, the sphere of human thought around the crime scene is nothing less than toxic and foul. However, being himself part of the human sphere, Cohle cannot help but being part of it and, on some level, even embracing it.

In the "present day" scenes, where Cohle is discussing his investigation with detectives, Cohle drinks cans of beer and smokes cigarettes - aluminum and ashes. Is this a way of saying that, after years in the "psychosphere" that Cohle is now completely imbued with it?

In the “present day” scenes Cohle drinks cans of beer and smokes cigarettes … aluminum and ashes. While, fifteen years before, Cohle was disgusted by the taste of the psychosphere, this psychosphere is now part of him.

The first ritual murder discovered in True Detectives was purposely staged to attract the attention of the masses. Not only is it a physical manifestation of the foul psychosphere, it is also an attempt to massively affect the psychosphere. These mega-rituals are purposely staged to shock and traumatize the masses, who then collectively send these thoughts to the psychosphere, creating the type of ambiance the occult elite revel in.

Throughout the series, an image appears in several places and through several people : Five men around a girl. This “pentagram of men” represents the occult elite abusing a child in a ritualistic matter. Through the psychosphere, the world appears to be aware of this, almost unconsciously.

The detectives find at the Tuttles house a video of a little girl being abused and sacrificed by five masked men.

The detectives find a video of a little girl being abused and sacrificed by five masked men. The fact that the ritual was recorded represents the elite’s propensity for creating “snuff material”.

While visiting the house of a woman whose daughter mysteriously disappeared, Cohle notices a framed picture of a young girl surrounded by five masked men.

While visiting the house of a woman whose daughter mysteriously disappeared, Cohle notices a framed picture of a young girl surrounded by five masked men.

Martin Hart's daughter placed five male dolls around a female naked doll.

Martin Hart’s daughter Audrey placed five male dolls around a female naked doll. We’ll later see how this character is subtly connected to the rituals.

While telling his story to detectives, Rustin Cohle weirdly transforms five cans of beer in to five little people and places them in a circle. Is he unconsciously telling the detectives who are the real culprits and that he never caught them?

While telling his story to agents, Rustin Cohle oddly transforms five cans of beer in to five little people and places them in a circle. Is he unconsciously telling the detectives that he never caught the real culprits – the pentagram of men?

Through symbols, the series tells us that the psychosphere is disturbed by the elite’s rituals and that its effects seep through the reality of the masses. However, these effects are not only symbolic: they influence society’s morals, values and behavior. This is represented by the evolution of Martin Hart’s family.

Martin Hart and his Family

Played by Woody Harrelson, Martin Hart is very much the opposite of Rustin Cohle. A simple look at the character’s names gives a good idea of their mindset. The name Rustin Cohle sounds like “rust and coal” – two materials associated with decay and toxicity – which represent his world vision. In contrast, Martin Hart’s last name sounds like “heart” – the muscular organ that keeps people alive. Far from being detached from the material world like Cohle, Hart intensely lives the emotional trials and tribulations of human experience. Like most humans, he is also deeply flawed. While considering himself to be a Christian, he has a propensity for adultery and violence.

It is however the evolution of his family that is the most telling. While his family has nothing to do with the main investigation, the series spends a great amount of time describing its evolution. More than simple “character development”, the Hart family represents how average citizens are ultimately affected by the foul psychosphere and the moral depravity of those that rule them.

Although Marty’s daughter Audrey has no apparent knowledge of or contact with those who conduct the rituals, she nevertheless appears to be deeply affected by it. As seen above, Marty found her daughter playing with dolls that appear to re-create “pentagram of men”. Later, her parents find a book full of upsetting drawings.

One of Audrey's sexual drawings feature a mask man touching a woman.

One of Audrey’s sexual drawings feature a masked man touching a woman who has her hands bound behind her back.

In another scene, Marty's girls are seen wearing a crown with ribbons - which is reminiscent to the Satanic antler crown with ribbons placed on the victims during the rituals.

In another scene, Marty’s girls are seen wearing a tiara with ribbons – which is reminiscent to the Satanic antler crown with ribbons placed on the victims during the rituals.

The tiara ends up on a tree, not unlike the ritual victims.

The tiara ends up on a tree, not unlike the ritual victims.

The foul psychosphere appears to affect Audrey’s behavior and her very soul. Her grandfather foretells her future while talking with Marty about “kids today”.

“I’ve seen kids today. All in black, makeup on their faces. Everything is sex”.

While Marty basically dismissed these words as being an old man’s ramblings, Audrey eventually grows up to become exactly that what her grandfather said.

Audrey dressed in black with makeup on her face. In this scene, she got caught by her father having sex with two guys in a truck.

Audrey dressed in black with makeup on her face. In this scene, she got caught by her father having sex with two guys in a truck. This caused Marty to call her a “slut”.

Audrey’s transformation from an innocent girl to a promiscuous teen represents how the occult elite’s depravity and immorality ultimately affects the entire population. While she is not a direct victim of the occult elite, she is an indirect victim through the foul ambiance she grows up in. We later learn that, as an adult, Audrey “sometimes forgets to take her pills”, implying that she has mental health issues and that she was indirectly traumatized by this context. Therefore, through various means, the series shows how the psychosphere is purposely disturbed to create a generation that is morally lost.

Now let’s look at the secretive group that is behind this all.

The Spiral – Representing the “Real Life” Occult Elite

As the investigation progresses, the detectives learn about a group of “rich men” sacrificing children. They also learn about the mythology surrounding it.

“There’s a place down-South where all these rich men go to devil-worship. They sacrifice kids and whatnot. Women and children all got murdered there and something about someplace called Carcosa and the Yellow King. He said there’s all these, like, old stones out in the woods people go to, like, worship. He said there’s so much good killing down there. The spiral – that’s their sign.”

We soon discover who’s behind these rituals: The elite of Louisiana, members of an ancient bloodline, the Tuttle family. As a Texan, Cohle quickly finds out that one member of the Tuttle family is Governor and another one leads the Church – therefore encompassing the spheres of power that are politics and religion.

As the detectives discover that the rituals are basically a family affair, they begin constructing the Tuttle family tree.

The detectives learn that the Tuttles are responsible for a great number of missing children who were abused and killed in a ritual sacrifice. Since the family is extremely powerful, law enforcement and local media are completely silent. The family practices its own brand of Louisiana voodoo mixed with classic Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) as practiced by the occult elite. While the family’s area of action is very local, it does not take much extrapolation to understand that the Tuttles represent the occult elite that currently rules the entire world.

The Spiral’s taste for Satanic rituals, torture, mind control, and abuse of children is representative of the occult elite’s darkest obsessions. Even the Spiral symbol in the series is actually used by real life networks of shady men to secretly disclose their “preferences.” Here’s an FBI file describing the symbols used by “boy lovers”.

The Spiral on a skull in Carcosa.

The Spiral on a skull in Carcosa.

In True Detective, the Spiral’s rituals are drenched in a specific mythology heavily inspired by science-fiction/horror literature, notably from H.P. Lovecraft.

The Mythology

In True Detective, sacrifices are made to the “Yellow King” which is basically an effigy of a horned god and they take place in an abandoned structure dubbed Carcosa. The mythology surrounding the Spiral borrows heavily from science fiction literature, notably Robert W. Chamber’s The King in Yellow (aka the Yellow King), which mentions a lost city named Carcosa.

Along the shore the cloud waves break,
The twin suns sink beneath the lake,
The shadows lengthen
In Carcosa.

Strange is the night where black stars rise,
And strange moons circle through the skies
But stranger still is
Lost Carcosa.

Songs that the Hyades shall sing,
Where flap the tatters of the King,
Must die unheard in
Dim Carcosa.

Song of my soul, my voice is dead;
Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed
Shall dry and die in
Lost Carcosa.

The term Carcosa was also used by H.P. Lovecraft in his famous Cthulhu Mythos. Why is Lovecraft so often referred to in the series? His works are greatly revered in several occult circles and, considering the fact that the series is about satanic ritual murders, it makes sense.

H.P. Lovecraft

While H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos, is usually considered as a near-satirical atheist work of fiction (it’s about monstrous alien gods), it nevertheless gained great notoriety with societies with a more metaphysical world view. For instance, Anton LaVey’s book The Satanic Rituals includes a chapter entitled “The Metaphysics of Lovecraft”

The Satanic Rituals consider Lovecraft to be a conduit of sorts for “unseen Powers”: “Whether his sources of inspiration were consciously recognized and admitted or were a remarkable ‘psychic’ absorption, one can only speculate.” The rituals consist of evoking names of the Cthulhu Mythos along with the inevitable “Hail Satan,” in mock ceremony evoking the elaborate proclamation and community response of the Catholic Mass.
– Dennis P. Quinn, Cults of an Unwitting Oracle: The (Unintended) Religious Legacy of H. P. Lovecraft

Kenneth Grant, an occultist who was a prominent member of Aleister Crowley’s secret society Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O) wrote extensively on the importance of Lovecraft’s works.

For Grant, writing in 1980, Lovecraft should be praised for his abilities to “control the dreaming mind that it is capable of projection into other dimensions.” It is well known that Lovecraft often gained inspiration for his stories in his dreams. For Grant, Lovecraft received actual arcane knowledge in his dreams, which was then expressed through the Cthulhu Mythos. Grant has inspired many magicians, some of whom have moved more into the realm of Lovecraft’s fictional writings.
– Ibid.

Lovecraft’s works are therefore highly regarded by occult or satanic groups who are heavily bent on rituals. Some symbols associated with these societies appear throughout the series.

Reggie Ledoux, one of the culprits carrying out rituals has a tattoo of Baphomet inside an inverted pentagram on his back, the sigil of the Church of Satan.

Reggie Ledoux, one of the culprits (more of a patsy) carrying out rituals has a tattoo of Baphomet inside an inverted pentagram – the sigil of the Church of Satan.

Although the detectives caught and killed Reggie Ledoux, they ultimately learn that the killings are still happening. Even at the end of the series, when the detectives get their hands of Errol Childress (the crazy stereotypical redneck), there are clues implying that he’s not the real culprit – he’s just a patsy.

Errol Childress – Patsy of the Elite

While investigating the Tuttle family, the detectives discover that the reverend has children from a mistress. One of them is Errol Childress, a “bastard son” who was treated badly. In fact, everything about him points toward him being a victim of a multi-generational satanic cult.

Errol has scars on his face because he was disfigured by his own father, which undoubtedly left him traumatized.

Errol has scars on his face because he was disfigured as a child by his family.

In this important shot we see that the Spiral symbol was burned into Errol's flesh, as if he was "branded" by it. In short, he is not the head of the club, he is more of a traumatized victim.

At the end of an episode, Errol eerily says "My family's been here a long, long time." and then proceeds to mow the lawn in a spiral pattern. This symbolically represents how everything the occult elite does is in plain sight - for those who have "eyes to see". It also shows how Errol is obsessed by this symbol and was programmed by it.

This symbolically represents how everything the occult elite does is in plain sight – for those who have “eyes to see”. It also shows how Errol is obsessed by this symbol and was programmed by it.

The show provides several clues hinting to the fact that Errol Childress is actually a victim of trauma-based mind control. First, he speaks with in distinct accents – a classic symptom of person with multiple personas. Errol effectively alternates between a typical Louisiana drawl and a distinguished British accent. The contents of his house is also quite telling.

Errol's house is full of dolls (many of which are beheaded). Not only do these dolls add to the "creep" factor, they are a classic symbol to represent multiple personas created through Mind Control.

In the opening sequence of the show, we the face of a child projected on a telephone (the one at Errol's house). The dial is on the child's head, a way of portraying how victims of the Spiral has their minds controlled.

While his father is one of the richest and most respected people in Louisiana, Errol lives in filthy shack with an equally filthy half-sister with whom he copulates. In other words, Errol is clearly not part of the “elite” but an illegitimate byproduct of it. While he is the ultimate “bad guy” of the series, it is rather clear that he’s simply another victim of the Spiral. Even people who worked for the family were victims.

When the detectives visit Delores Jackson, an ex-maid who worked for Tuttles, we also see signs of mind control.

When the detectives visit Delores Jackson, an ex-maid who worked for Tuttles, we also see signs of mind control.

Although Delores became mentally ill and generally unresponsive (as if she was traumatized in her life), she gets very excited when Rust shows her images of devil nets – as if they were trigger images. She then begins reciting lines as if they were programmed into her.

“You know Carcosa? Him who eats time. Him robes, it’s a wind of invisible voices. Rejoice! Death is not the end!”

It is therefore quite clear that the real people behind the Spiral were never caught in the series. The series ended the same way real life stories involving the occult elite often end: A mind-controlled patsy takes the fall and dies, leaving the real culprits untouched. While Errol did actually commit atrocious crimes, he was a product of a deeper system.

When the detectives finally found and killed Errol, they are sent to the hospital to heal their wounds. There, we hear a TV news report stating:

“The State Attorney General and the FBI have discredited rumors that the accused was in some way related to the family of Louisiana Senator Edwin Tuttle.”

This little piece of information confirms the the State Attorney General, the FBI and mass media in general are “in cahoots” with the Spiral because they are using disinformation to clear the family’s name.

Rust then tells Marty that, although they caught Errol Childress, their job was not complete.

“Tuttles, the men in the video … We didn’t get them all”

To which Marty replies:

“Yeah, and we ain’t gonna get ‘em all. That ain’t the kind of world it is, but we got ours”.

Marty’s grim assessment about “how the world is” basically means that the real occult elite does not get caught. By saying “we got ours”, he means that they got the what they were supposed to get: The chosen patsy. This is not a comforting message regarding the occult elite, but it is the sad truth.

In Conclusion

The series True Detectives spurred all kinds of discussions and theories about the identity of the killer. However, beyond the classic “whodunit”, there is a constant message communicated throughout every episode. It is about our society, about who rules it and about the unseen forces that influence us all. It is about the psychosphere, a concept that is obscure to most of us, but that is nevertheless extremely important in occult elite circles. Through mega-rituals amplified by mass media, the elite actively looks to generate shock, fear, and dismay in the general population, whose thoughts then get projected back to the psychosphere. This disturbance causes the human race to live in a toxic atmosphere, ruled by specific symbols and thoughts. Furthermore, as portrayed by Audrey in True Detectives, a disturbed psychosphere causes society to break down, to become immoral and obsessed with dark thoughts. This is what they revel in.

Despite all of this, the series ends with Rustin Cohle having an epiphany and “seeing the light” because, for a moment, he saw the “spirit world”, where his dead daughter waited for him. Cohle realized that, beyond this material world, the one that is ruled by powerful sadistic families, there is another dimension – an eternal one – where they have no power at all.

How closely are you monitoring your children/teen music? Do you know what they’re listening too? Are you afraid to know the TRUTH? If not then, read on…

When I saw this first video, it really saddened me. Seriously. I know you’re probably thinking, it’s just me over-reacting to a simple young lady’s music who has made it big-time and I’m just jealous. You couldn’t be further from the truth.
What saddens me is the fact that she’s a virus to the youngsters. They watch her and want to emulate her actions and react identically. This is exactly the opposite of what our younger generations need.

How does all this fit together? Aleister Crowley will tell you best! He’s was so evil! And the Hollywood experts of the Sex Cult of the Illuminati go about their day seeking to catch lost souls into their grasp to take them to Hell.
Oh yes, it’s true! Miley Cyrus was recruited and baptized into the Illuminati and promotes their agenda. She is a cohort of the “Synagogue of Satan” and is the current poster-child as she leads children to Satanism.
In her onstage ‘acts’ she imitates having intercourse with demons, symbolically gestures the language of the Illuminati and is proud to do so.

Nixon Was Framed by the Illuminati

nixon.jpg

Richard Nixon was framed by the elite. Coming from Mark Gorton, this conclusion is all the more interesting.

Gorton is a respected engineer,  millionaire financier and entrepreneur.
He founded the music sharing site Limewire, and he runs Tower Research, a famed high-frequency trading firm.

Gorton also believes that a ruthless “secret cabal” led by H.W. Bush  assassinated JFK and planned 9/11.
A “criminal network” controls government and business “yet most people don’t have any idea that it exists.”
He circulated these conclusions to employees last week. Generally, they are a synopsis of his reading.

He is naive about some things — that a coup d’etat took place in 1963 when in fact the US has been run by
the Illuminati since Theodore Roosevelt or earlier.  He is wrong about others – like the Saudis and the Bushes
were behind  9-11. (No mention of the Mossad or Freemasons – Gorton is probably Jewish.)  But his assessment of
Richard Nixon and Watergate seems correct to me, and I present it here.
In 1945, Richard Nixon was a US Navy lawyer assigned to look in captured Nazi documents which showed Nazi collusion with Allen Dulles. In exchange for helping to cover up the Dulles war time treason, Allen Dulles and Prescott Bush agreed to help finance Nixon’s political career.

In 1946, Nixon was able to win election to the house of representatives with their contributions. In 1947, the Dulles brothers took Nixon under their wing and escorted him on a tour of Fascist ‘freedom fight’ operations in Germany. Through the late 1940’s and early 1950’s, Nixon proved himself as a loyal ally. In return, Prescott Bush was instrumental in selecting Nixon as the Vice Presidential candidate in 1952. Nixon was in the odd position of being an ally of key Cabal members while never being a member of the inner circle. Nixon was politically ambitious and willing to work with distasteful people and do distasteful things in order to further his political career, yet at the same time, he resented being dependent on these powerful, corrupt interests.

MARK-GORTON-large570.jpg(Gorton, left)

Once Nixon was elected to his second term as president in 1972, he achieved a degree of independence that made him a danger to the Cabal. Deep down, Nixon was never as corrupt as core Cabal members, and toward the end of his first term, he began making plans to purge the entire senior leadership of the CIA. Unfortunately, Nixon did not realize the the CIA had the White House bugged and filled his senior staff  with spies. So the Cabal leadership was well aware of Nixon’s plans. Nixon had a reputation for being paranoid. Yet he was not paranoid enough. His enemies had him surrounded to a degree which he did not understand.

In 1973, after Nixon has stopped being a compliant servant of the Cabal, they set off the booby trap in the form of the Watergate Coup, and they pulled Nixon down from power just as they put him up.

WATERGATE

The traditional story of Watergate is one where Nixon does a bunch of bad things, gets caught, tries to cover it up, and is forced to resign; however, in reality Watergate was a plot by the Cabal behind the JFK assassination and corrupt elements within the CIA and military intelligence to depose Nixon.

The Watergate Coup served several purposes, but perhaps its most lasting impact was to ensconce George H.W. Bush as the new head of the Cabal. Like his father, George H.W. Bush was a graduate of Yale and a member of Skull and Bones. In a world where connections and pedigree mattered, George H. W. Bush was the crown prince within the CIA.

The first stages of the Watergate Coup involved creating a fake scandal to force the resignation of Vice President Spiro Agnew. With Agnew out of the way, the Watergate Coup plotters were free to place one of their own in position to take the presidency. Nixon wanted to appoint John Connolly of Texas as VP, but Connolly was not a Cabal member, so the Republican establishment loyal to Bush threatened to block Connolly’s nomination, and Nixon was forced to pick a Vice President acceptable to the Cabal.

Gerald Ford, as a member of the Warren Commission, had played a key role in covering up the Coup of ’63. Ford was not an inner circle member of the Cabal behind the Coup of ’63, but he was solidly aligned with them and could be counted on to support and enable the secret government structures buried within the national security state.

The Watergate burglars themselves were headed by CIA agent E. Howard Hunt. Hunt had been a key operational player in the Coup of ’63. He was even clearly photographed as one of the three tramps arrested near Dealey Plaza immediately after the shooting of JFK. On his death bed, Hunt confessed to his involvement in the Coup of ’63 and named LBJ as the leader of the plot. To execute the Watergate break in, Hunt rounded up some old Cuban comrades who had also been active in supporting JFK’s assassination. To those in the know, the makeup of the Watergate burglars was a clear signal that Watergate was a plot on behalf of the Cabal behind the Coup of ’63.

To execute the disinformation campaign surrounding Watergate, the Watergate Coup plotters turned to ex-naval intelligence officer, Bob Woodward, who had been inserted into the Washington Post. Woodward then proceeded to craft a series of stories that make up much of the myth of Watergate that we know today.

clintonx.jpgIn order to complete the take down of Nixon, the President had to be denied the due process which could have allowed him an effective legal defense before the House Judiciary Committee where the impeachment resolutions regarding Watergate had been referred. At this time, in 1973, a young Hillary Clinton was working as a staff lawyer for the committee.

Even this early in her career, Clinton showed her willingness to ally herself with powerful, corrupt interests. Clinton along with several other staff members of the committee conspired to deny Nixon access to legal counsel. In order to pull this off, Hillary wrote a fraudulent legal brief and confiscated public documents to hide her deception. Her boss Jeffery Zeifman later fired Hillary for her unethical actions and said about Hillary, “She was a liar. She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.”

Illuminati symbolism in Lil Wayne x Tyga x Nicki Minaj ‘Senile’ music video

The rap super group Young Money released an album in March called Young Money: Rise of an Empire and it features the single Senile which just go the video treatment. Let’s see what symbolism we can dig up…

First up we see ABDC’s (reality show contest about dancing) Jabbawockeez with Tyga and they show us the symbolism with emphasis on one eye, which we call the All Seeing Eye in Illuminati circles:

IlluminatiWatcherDotCom Senile Illuminati All Seeing Eye

There’s more on this subject in my post for Decoding Illuminati Symbolism: The All Seeing Eye and 666 Hand Gesture:

Whether you want to believe that these were literally angels, giants, reptilians, or the offspring of Seth & Cain; the point is that the concept of a big eye in the sky watching over us is a common thread, lying subtlety below the radar to the uninitiated. The ancient Egyptians had the Eye of Horus, which is also known as the Eye of Ra. This ‘wedjat’ is a symbol of life because in Egyptian mythology, the god Horus had his moon eye torn out by Set, only to have Thoth invoke magic spells of the falcon to restore it (I could segue into the falcon being symbolism of the American eagle or the phoenix, but I’ll save that for another time). The Eye of Horus would continue to be used as a symbol of a protective amulet, including its use on the tombs of Egyptians to assist in the afterlife.

Let’s move on to the obvious background behind Tyga as he raps that shows us the pyramid; which is yet again another Illuminati symbol that I cover in Decoding Illuminati Symbolism: Triangles, Pyramids, and the Sun:

Naturally, the triangle has the same meaning in symbolism as the three dimensional version; the pyramid. In its three dimensional form it is meant to symbolize the world’s axis, with the highest point representing the enlightenment, or the highest point of attainment one can get to.

Finally, we see Tyga sporting the Seal of Solomon; a magical sigil I explain in Decoding Illuminati Symbolism: Triangles, Pyramids, and the Sun:

The hexagram combines the two unionized triangles with the Star of David and Seal of Solomon (which used it as a magical sigil for the control supernatural creatures). When talking about magic, the occultists believe a single triangle can be used as a method for summoning spirits. They’ll stand inside of a circle while a spirit is conjured into a triangle during rituals to allow the demons to channel through from the underworld and appear within the triangle.

IlluminatiWatcherDotCom Senile Illuminati Tyga Seal of Solomon

Tyga is reportedly a Christian (according to what I can find on Google searches), so it makes me wonder the purpose for the Star of David aka Seal of Solomon?… His rap name Tyga stands for Thank You God Always for what it’s worth.

One more thing to mention is the fact that the song is a play on the word ‘senile’ which supports the various theories on the music industry subliminally trying to let everyone know that the musicians are victims of brainwashing type experiments that make them crazy (e.g. Britney Spears song ‘Crazy’ and she in fact went crazy and shaved her head).

Here’s the video (explicit lyrics):

William S. Burroughs’ Wild Ride with Scientology

William S. Burroughs’ Wild Ride with Scientology12SEXPAND

You probably knew that William S. Burroughs had experimented with some unusual ideas during his time — but did you know he joined the Church of Scientology? Pop Apocalypse author and English professor Lee Konstantinou reveals the secret history of how Burroughs almost became an Operating Thetan.

In 1959, the same year Olympia Press published his most famous novel Naked Lunch, the writer William S. Burroughs visited the restaurant of his friend and collaborator, Brion Gysin, in Tangiers. There, Burroughs met John and Mary Cooke, a wealthy American hippie couple who were interested in mysticism. Burroughs recalled, “There was something portentous about it, as though I was seeing them in another medium, like they were sitting there as holograms.”

Who were these portentous holograms? Scientologists. Indeed, John Cooke is reported to have been the very first person to receive a status of “Clear” within Scientology, and was deeply involved in its founding. Cooke had been trying to recruit Gysin into the Church, declaring that the artist was a natural “Clear” and “Operating Thetan.” Ultimately, it was Burroughs, not Gysin, who explored the Church that L. Ron Hubbard built. Burroughs took Scientology so seriously that he became a “Clear” and almost became an “Operating Thetan.”

On a research trip to the New York Public Library, I discovered that Burroughs had left behind a rich paper trail documenting his exploration of the science-fiction inspired Church.

I was looking into Burroughs’ life as part of a bigger project about his influence on punk, which led me to the the Henry W. and Albert A. Berg Collection at the NYPL. The William S. Burroughs Papers have a range of amazing materials related to Burroughs’s exploration of Scientology, including extensive handwritten notes Burroughs took on Scientological training materials, notes from auditing sessions Burroughs conducted, and even a cut-up of auditing questions.

William S. Burroughs’ Wild Ride with Scientology

According to his biographer, Barry Miles, Burroughs very quickly incorporated Scientology into his worldview. In an October 27, 1959 letter to Allen Ginsberg, Burroughs wrote: “The method of directed recall is the method of Scientology. You will recall I wrote urging you to contact local chapter and find an auditor. They do the job without hypnosis or drugs, simply run the tape back and forth until the trauma is wiped off. It works. I have used the method—partially responsible for recent changes.” Burroughs thought that the Church was teaching techniques that might help him resist social control by erasing negative images called “engrams” and its ideas came to inform his art.

Only two days later, Burroughs wrote again to Ginsberg: “I have a new method of writing and do not want to publish anything that has not been inspected and processed. I cannot explain this method to you until you have necessary training. So once again and most urgently (believe me there is not much time)—I tell you: ‘Find a Scientology Auditor and have yourself run.'” Scientology appears throughout Burroughs’s oeuvre, and especially in his innovative cut-up trilogy of the sixties and in the avant-garde films he made with Gysin.

Again and again in his writings and interviews, Burroughs mentions the E-meter as Scientology’s most important contribution to a science of the mind. The E-meter, Burroughs thought, was “really a sort of sloppy form of electrical brain stimulation… a lie-detector and a mind-reading machine… Not the content, only the reactions.” Elsewhere Burroughs described the E-meter as a “useful device for deconditioning,” or the elimination of imposed or habitual reactions of symbols and figures. The goal is to achieve something like a “floating needle,” a therapeutic method Burroughs claimed to sometimes use. In his book of interviews, The Job, Burroughs explained his view that Scientology could help counter “the Reactive Mind… an ancient instrument of control designed to stultify and limit the potential for action in a constructive or destructive direction.” Burroughs associated the Reactive Mind with Mayan calendars, which he described in the same interview as “one of the most precise and hermetic control calendars ever… on this planet, a calendar that in effect controlled what the populace did thought and felt on any day.”

In 1961, Burroughs created a short film in collaboration with Gysin called Towers Open Fire(warning: NSFW!), which was a plotless film designed to show the process of control systems breaking down-showing Burroughs, in camouflage and a gas mask, firing an “orgasm gun”; a boy in underwear; a spinning Dream Machine; a shot of a man masturbating; among other disturbing images. Gysin’s biographer notes that the film even used snippets of dialog taken from a Scientology pamphlet.

Scientology appears again disguised as the “Logos” group in Burroughs’s 1962 novel The Ticket That Exploded. As described in the book, Logos has “a system of therapy they call ‘clearing’. You ‘run’ traumatic material which they call ‘engrams’ until it loses emotional connotation through repetitions and is then refilled as neutral memory’ When all the ‘engrams’ have been run and deactivated the subject becomes a ‘clear.'” In the 1964 novel Nova Express, Scientology is for the first time openly described in Burroughs’s fiction. During an interrogation scene in the book, an unnamed character declares “The Scientologists believe sir that words recorded during a period of unconsciousness… store pain and that this pain store can be lugged in with key words represented as an alternate mathematical formulae indicating umber of exposures to the key words and reaction index… they call these words recorded during unconsciousness engrams sir… The pain that overwhelms that person is basic basic sir and when basic basic is wiped off the tape… then that person becomes what they call clear sir.”

William S. Burroughs’ Wild Ride with ScientologySEXPAND

At the start of 1968, Burroughs deepened his relationship to the Church. He took an intense two-month Scientology Clearing Course at the world headquarters of Scientology in Saint Hill Manor in the UK and Burroughs was declared a “Clear,” though he later claimed that he had to work hard to suppress or rationalize his persistently negative feelings toward L. Ron Hubbard during auditing sessions. The Berg has almost a dozen files filled with Burroughs’s pamphlets from Saint Hill as well as his almost unreadable hand-written notes on Scientology courses and questions he prepared for auditing sessions he himself conducted. These files include, as I’ve mentioned, an attempt to create a cut-up from auditing questions; from the start, Scientology was very much connected to the cut-up technique and Burroughs’s theory that language constituted a kind of virus that had infested the human host. At Saint Hill, Burroughs entered an intense and obsessive period of auditing sessions with an E-Meter, including a process of exploring past lives, though he slowly began to grow alienated from the Church and what he considered its Orwellian security protocols. Burroughs’s antipathy for Scientological “Sec Checks” are apparent in his strange and violent story, “Ali’s Smile,” which was published in the collection Ali’s Smile/Naked Scientology.

Burroughs eventually rejected Scientology—because of what he called “the fascist policies of Hubbard and his organization”—but cautiously endorsed some of its “discoveries.” His break with the Church developed over course of the late sixties in the pages of the London-based magazine, Mayfair, where Burroughs wrote a series of increasingly hostile “bulletins” about his adventures with the organization. These bulletins culminated in Burroughs’s amusingly titledMayfair article, “I, William Burroughs, Challenge You, L. Ron Hubbard.” This piece was republished in the Los Angeles Free Press. In his challenge to L. Ron, Burroughs wrote:

Some of the techniques [of Scientology] are highly valuable and warrant further study and experimentation. The E Meter is a useful device… (many variations of this instrument are possible). On the other hand I am in flat disagreement with the organizational policy. No body of knowledge needs an organizational policy. Organizational policy can only impede the advancement of knowledge. There is a basic incompatibility between any organization and freedom of thought.

For his inquiries, Burroughs reports, he was expelled from the organization and in 1968 was put into what Scientologists call a condition of “Treason“; though the exact circumstances surrounding this incident remain unclear. Burroughs’s public battle against the Church continued in a 1972 issue of Rolling Stone, where he expressed his support for Robert Kaufmann’s exposé, Inside Scientology, published by Olympia Press. Here Burroughs uses his harshest language yet: “Scientology is a model control system, a state in fact with its own courts, police, rewards and penalties.” Strangely enough, despite his break with the group, Scientology reappeared in the 1972 film Bill and Tony, which Burroughs made with Antony Balch (the masturbating guy in Towers Open Fire). In Bill and Tony, an image of Burroughs’s disembodied floating head recites instructions for how to operate an auditing session.

So what are we supposed to make of all this? On one level it’s hard to say, but what ought to be abundantly clear is that Burroughs took Scientology quite seriously indeed for the better part of a decade—during what was arguably his most artistically fertile period. Burroughs clearly had his own uses for Scientology. Gysin once quipped that Burroughs was probably the first person to make more money from Scientology than the organization made from him. This may be true, but Burroughs wasn’t investigating the Church cynically. Today, where so much attention focuses on the science fictional origins of Scientology, it is easy to forget how seemingly in harmony the Church was with a whole range of countercultural, “New Age,” and anti-psychiatric practices in the Sixties.

What becomes clear when you listen to Burroughs talking about Scientology is that he associated the group with a range of mind-expanding and mind-freeing practices: Wilhelm Reich’s trippy Orgone Accumulator, which Jack Kerouac wrote about in On the Road; Mayan calendrical mind control systems; hallucinogens (especially the plant yagé) and other powerful mind-altering drugs; apomorphine, which he used several times to treat his drug addiction; the rambling, sarcastic monologues he called “routines”; the Dream Machine Burroughs invented with Gysin, a machine that supposedly could simulate “alpha-waves”; and of course his ultimate weapon in the Burroughs arsenal, the cut-up, which was designed to jam up what he called “the Reality Studio,” aka the everyday, conditioned, mind-controlled reality. If you spend enough time digging through Burroughs’s writing, you get the sense that Burroughs thought he lived in a very literally real science fictional world.

Absent from Burroughs’s writing are any references to body thetans, Xenu, the Galactic Confederacy, Douglas DC-8 airliners, volcanic hydrogen bombs, or other beliefs more recently associated with Scientology, thanks to the South Park episode, “Trapped in the Closet” and Lawrence Wright’s epically long New Yorker article on the defection of the film director Paul Haggis from the church). It’s too bad Burroughs didn’t achieve a higher OT level; he could have mined Scientology’s madcap space opera as a source for even more mind-bending books.
