Truth-Telling From Syria Exposes Scoundrel Media Lies

by Stephen Lendman

Since Obama launched naked aggression on Syria, using imported terrorist foot soldiers, aided by US-terror-bombing, I've written numerous articles, too many to count, throughout the horror inflicted on defenseless civilians.

But I've never been to the shattered country to see firsthand what's happening – the devastating carnage, the unspeakable human misery, the loss of life and anguish from US imperial viciousness.

21st Century Wire's Patrick Henningsen and Vanessa Beeley are there now, reporting on US-led Western and regional state-sponsored atrocities – committed by ISIS, al-Nusra and other imperial foot soldiers, endless war and carnage against a beleaguered, long-suffering people.

What can possibly justify so much harm on so many Syrians for so long with no end in sight to their long ordeal – because America wants war, regime change and destruction of the Syr

Netanyahu Blames Palestinians for Israeli High Crimes

by Stephen Lendman

Aggressors blaming victims is one of the oldest dirty tricks in the book – America, NATO and Israel prime offenders.

Interviewed Friday on Fox News, Netanyahu outrageously said Palestinian leadership must "pass the test of peace."

It's been unattainable throughout 50 years of illegal Israeli occupation because conflict and instability serve its agenda. Resolution defeats it.

Netanyahu absurdly urged international pressure to stop legitimate Palestinian resistance, falsely called "incitement," saying:

"(T)he the first test of peace is to say to them: 'Hey, you want peace? Prove it. Confront terrorism. Stop rewarding terrorism. Stop paying terrorists. And don't finagle the books.' "

"What they do is 'okay. We won't pay directly. We'll pay it to somebody else and they'll pay it to the terror

Murderer Demands Release as "Reparation for Slavery"

Kori Ali Muhammad, the man under arrest for four murders, demanded he be released as "reparation for slavery. Whites enslaved millions of blacks and killed thousands of them. The four white men I shot can't begin to balance the scales of justice. I need to be free to continue my work to even the score."

His initial victim was Carl Williams, an unarmed security guard at a Motel 6 in Fresno, California. Muhammad claimed this killing was additionally justified because "he disrespected my right as a Muslim to consummate the sex for which I had paid a resident at the motel."

Muhammad was apprehended during a shooting spree that took the lives of three more victims in his self-proclaimed mission "to kill as many white people as I could" after he had learned he was a wanted suspect in the Motel 6 murder. "I was afraid that a single murder would portray me as a common criminal. By bro

Trumpcare 2.0

Marketplace medicine based on the ability to pay puts profits over fundamental human needs and rights.

Trumpcare's original and reported new versions are abominations, each making a bad system worse, the new proposal more unacceptable than the initial one – both leaving millions uninsured, millions more way uninsured, mostly poor and low income households.

On April 17, the Washington Post cited Economist/YouGov and Morning Consult/Politico polls, showing most Americans support universal single-payer healthcare coverage, including Republicans – Medicare for all.

Nothing else is equitable. America has the world's most expensive healthcare system – costing double what other developed countries provide their citizens.

Trumpcare works great for America's privileged class, dismally for most others. According to the Huffington Post, House "GOP moderates and conservatives are nearing a deal" to rep

Baptists And Muslims Are Uniting

Opinion Column by Chuck Baldwin
One might be surprised to learn that hundreds of Christian organizations (including Baptist) are uniting with Muslims and Jews (and people from other pagan religions). "What," you ask, "could possibly unite such radically opposing faith systems?" The effort to convince the U.S. Congress to KEEP the Johnson Amendment, that's what.

The Johnson Amendment is the amendment that grafted churches into the infamous 501c3 non-profit organization status of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) back in 1954. The amendment is named after its author: then Senator Lyndon Baines Johnson (D-TX).

Faithful followers of my writings and messages might recall that on February 23 of this year, I predicted that the biggest opponents of President Trump's proposal to expunge the Johnson Amendment would come from pastors and churches themselves. And I was right.

According to a report in Christianity Today, "Nearly 100 religious groups are urging Congress to keep the 'John

Pence Threatens North Korea

by Stephen Lendman

In Tokyo during his East Asia tour, Pence told Prime Minister Shinzo Abe America is with Japan "100 per cent" in challenging Pyongyang.

Saying "all options are on the table," he demanded denuclearization of the Korean peninsula – what Kim Jong-un and other government officials won't ever accept as long as America remains an existential threat.

Vice Foreign Minister Han Song-Ryol said his government will "be conducting more missile tests on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis" – threatening "all-out war" if Washington launches aggression.

On Wednesday aboard the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier in Yokosuka, Japan, home of the Pentagon's 7th Fleet, Pence called its "steel deck" symbolic of America's "ironclad alliance…with Japan, and…enduring commitment to the Asia-Pacific."

Over seven decades since WW II ended, mo

Political Prisoner Marwan Barghouti on Why Palestinians Hunger Strike

by Stephen Lendman

In a NYT international edition op-ed, not its US one able to reach Americans, Palestine's most widely respected political figure, imprisoned by Israel on trumped up charges to prevent his future run for president, Barghouti headlined "Why We Are on Hunger Strike in Israel's Prisons."

It's for justice denied, Palestinian political prisoners using their sole power behind bars in cages – refusing food to resist Israeli viciousness.

Barghouti: "Having spent the last 15 years in an Israeli prison, I have been both a witness to and a victim of Israel's illegal system of mass arbitrary arrests and ill-treatment of Palestinian prisoners."

"After exhausting all other options, I decided there was no choice but to resist these abuses by going on a hunger strike."

On April 17, it began – Palestinian Prisoners Day, aro

Anti-Erdogan Rage, Emergency Rule Extended

by Stephen Lendman

Before Sunday's constitutional referendum, Erdogan repudiated democracy, freedom and rule of law principles, governing as a tinpot despot.

Manipulated results officially empowered his iron-fisted rule. Criticism of his rogue regime is considered treason.

Opponents are targeted for elimination. He's at war with Kurds domestically, in Iraq and Syria. Press and academic freedom are considered heresy.

He's ruthless and unforgiving, a regional menace, Turkey a launching pad and safe haven for ISIS and other terrorist groups, providing them weapons and other material support, treating their wounded, pretending to oppose the scourge he backs, wanting northern Syria annexed, Assad ousted.

On Tuesday, Turkey's parliament he controls extended emergency rule, declared last July following a failed military coup.

It permits virtually any measures Erdogan wishes to imp

Orchestrated Anti-Government Violence in Venezuela

by Stephen Lendman

Allied with Venezuelan anti-government fascists, Washington long sought regime change. So far, coup attempts and other destabilization efforts failed.

Perhaps Trump plans toppling its government, supporting tyranny over Bolivarian democracy, wanting another sovereign independent government eliminated, along with gaining control over Venezuela's huge oil reserves, the world's largest, including its heavy oil.

In early April, violent anti-government protests erupted, similar to earlier ones, an orchestrated imperial plot, wanting Venezuela's sovereignty undermined, Bolivarian fairness eliminated.

On April 6, US SOUTHCOM commander Admiral Kurt Tidd threatened intervention in response to what he called a "growing humanitarian crisis" – largely made in the USA, he failed to explain.

A government statement "alert(ed) the international community to the pla
