Americans Get the Best Democracy Money Can Buy

In the US, monied interests buy politicians like ordinary Americans buy toothpaste.

According to the Center for Responsive Politics (CRP), both wings of the one-party state spent nearly $14 billion in 2020 election campaigning — "blowing away spending records."

The amount is around double what was spent in 2016.

Nearly half the amount was spent by the Trump and Biden campaigns, the rest on congressional races.

The latest numbers are further evidence of how monied interests run the US and its political process.

Democracy in action when elections are held is pure illusion. Privileged interests run thing for their own benefit exclusively.

Ordinary Americans have no say over how the nation is run or by whom.

Dark forces manipulate things to assure things turn out their way.
